Description
Richard Day will discuss the 1787 Northwest Ordinance passed by the U.S. Congress that banned slavery north of the Ohio River and established a framework for governing the Northwest Territory and admitting the states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and part of Minnesota. This is the second event of the "Struggle for Liberty" series. Admission is free and open to all the public.
